The Band of Misfits believe in the power of music to help keep the world at bay. Music’s creativity and soulful expression unite people, providing entertainment, incitement, pleasure, and a much-needed escapism. Small venues offer a unique experience for listeners and musicians, bringing together communities, musicians, and enthusiasts. How many times have you heard the stories of people seeing the “Rolling Stones” or “Miles Davis” live in a small venue or a bar before they became famous?
There is a different type of connection between the musicians and the audience. Most of these bands will not become famous and play in big stadiums; however, these are hand-picked bands playing quality mixed-genre music, from covers to originals, offering a unique experience each time. Whether they have played in big stadiums or are on the brink of stardom, these musicians all share a commitment to delivering high-quality performances, ensuring that you will be left in awe. You can trust that every performance will be a memorable one.
According to Merriam-Webster, a misfit, as in Maverick, is a person who is different from others and does not seem to belong in a particular group or situation, a comic book about a social misfit who discovers his superpower. That is how it all began, and the superpowers on stage they possess will electrify, mesmerize, and dazzle you with entertainment.
Despite their differences, these hand-chosen mavericks feel the most comfortable on stage, creating an intimate and personal connection with the audience, making each performance a unique and memorable experience. This unique bond between performers and the audience sets The Band of Misfits apart. From classically trained musicians to bluesy hacks, these mixed genre musicians and bands play reorchestrated covers and off-the-chart originals, played primarily in living rooms, at private residences, around campfires, and within small venues. Some played in popular bands in large stadiums, and others came out of the closet after 20-plus years, finally getting on stage.
Venues are also hand-chosen and fit to accommodate bands with quality sound and general operations.
